🐴 Ecg Galaxy Watch 5 Non Samsung Phone
The Galaxy Watch 5 sports the same simple, minimalist design as last year's Watch 4. It features a 40mm (small) or 44mm (large) aluminum case. The Bluetooth/Wi-Fi model starts at A$499 for the
The Galaxy Watch 3 was marketed and released as having ECG and Blood Pressure monitoring. It was, initially, released with neither - despite having FDA approval for the ECG. Now the ECG has been released, in the US, but only to Samsung phones. Nowhere did it say that this would only be available on Samsung phones.
The Galaxy Watch 4 looks really tempting - but I bought a Pixel 5 just a few months ago and I'm not going switch to a Samsung phone just to have the full experience of a watch. So what features would I miss out on with a Watch 4 and a non-Samsung phone? From what I've read, the ECG and blood pressure readings would be affected.

So without further ado, let’s get started. Measure ECG and BP on Galaxy Watch 5 [Unsupported Countries] STEP 1: Install Samsung Health Monitor Mod App on Phone. STEP 2: Install Samsung Health Monitor Mod App on Watch. Install Android SDK. Download Samsung Health Monitor Mod App for Watch.
The catch here is that, at least for now, the ECG app will only be available on Samsung Galaxy phones with Android Nougat or higher—meaning, if you have one of these watches paired to a non
Thanks for posting your experience. I was actually considering the Galaxy Active 2 and didn't know that ECG/BP requires a Samsung phone (so dumb). The only watch I saw from the WearOS catalog that had ECG and LTE is the Oppo Watch. I'm sure there's others, but LTE support on WearOS from manufacturers is pretty weak.
I used it when I had a non samsung phone, nothing difficult, and I didn't need to frig around with it at all after setting it up, it just stayed working for these few months. It really feels like a native app, not some dodgy sideloaded one. 2. r/GalaxyWatch.
ECG and blood pressure only work with Samsung phones; The Galaxy Watch 6 runs WearOS 4, the latest version of Google’s wearable software at the time of launch in August 2023. Samsung has added various tweaks of its own, known collectively here as One UI Watch 5, but will continue supporting the watch with updates until 2027.
Step 1. Make sure your watch is snug on your wrist, and then open the Samsung Health Monitor app. Step 2. Tap ECG on the screen. Step 3. Review the information, and then allow any necessary permissions. Tap Open phone app, and then unlock your phone. Finally, follow the on-screen instructions in the Samsung Health app on your phone.
I do not know why Samsung locked this, probably they use their own API, not the default onces. Btw, they also sync sleep mode. I just mentioned that not all watch features can be enabled with s non Samsung phones. The biggest - ECG and BP -can be enabled, some smaller ones - not.
Coupled with 2GB RAM vs. 1.5GB on the previous models, the Watch 6 should deliver smoother performance. 5. Wear OS 4 and One UI Watch 5. Image Credit: Samsung. Samsung's Galaxy Watch 6 runs on the new Wear OS 4, the world's first Android smartwatch to do so.
