Battery and Power. The LP-E6 is the same battery as used by most of the higher model Canon DSLRs like the 7D, 6D, 5D Mark II and 5D Mark III, so I already have spares and other chargers. Battery life is pretty much eternal, over 1,000 shots in my normal use per charge.
1. @Balls: Just got the Zeikos grip for the T2i. It's actually more sturdy than the Canon grip (which I tried on a friend's T2i), but the button action isn't as nice as the Canon grip. All in all I'm very happy with the purchase, thanks for the advice. Dec 3, 2010 at 1:15.

The kit came with a Watson LP-E6 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1750mAh), which is slightly different that the original Canon 7.2V, 1800mAh) LP-E6 battery. The original LP-E6 batteries were 'chipped
